While I Was Out

Yesterday I was out, spending a peaceable Sunday afternoon lounging about on the carpet and doing my thing.

When I got home in the evening, to my immense surprise, someone had come in and refinished my house! The old furniture was gone, replaced with new, and larger, pieces!

I went through several waves of emotion: at first I was surprised, and then nostalgic for my lost furniture. It took me several hours of sniffing, hopping, and inspecting before I came to terms with my new surroundings. I went to bed feeling ok about things, and this morning I woke up ever so happy. What a boon!
